Waris · Incubated within Nya

What you intend.
What actually happens.

An exploration of the gap between what we want for the people we love and what our financial and legal arrangements will actually deliver.

We spend a lifetime caring for people: paying a mortgage, providing for children, building savings. But the arrangements we leave behind may not carry those intentions forward.

Having arrangements is not the same as having assurance.

A will, an insurance policy, a nomination, or a property title each describes part of a life. The bank sees accounts. The insurer sees policies. The lawyer sees documents. The family knows who matters. It is harder to see whether those fragments add up to what someone actually wants.

Starting with the people who matter

The question begins with intention: who matters to you, and what do you want to happen for them? Waris explores how to connect that picture with existing arrangements, make uncertainties visible, and support better conversations with qualified professionals.

Estate clarity, with care

The initial focus is estate planning and wealth transfer for Muslim families in Malaysia. The underlying question extends to other family structures and legal contexts, each with its own rules. Blended families, cross-border assets, ownership structures, and competing obligations can all make the picture harder to understand.

An exploration taking shape

Waris is being incubated within Nya. The ambition is greater understanding and agency for families, and clearer context for the professionals who work with them. The product and business model are still developing.
